In the College of Fine Arts & Communication (COFAC), we prepare students for lives of creative expression, as well as for diverse professions and leadership positions that will enrich the vibrancy of their communities. Our programs value curiosity, discovery, innovation, and collaboration, emphasizing dynamic, hands-on learning through which both faculty and students can inspire, create, and achieve.
Partly due to our university’s size and location, our students have remarkable opportunities to delve deeply into what interests them. Student creative laboratories like the student-run campus radio station, mainstage and studio theatre spaces, music hall, hot glass shop, and television station offer amazing hands-on experiences for COFAC students. Unlike many larger universities, UW-Stevens Point makes it possible to be involved almost from the moment a student arrives to campus.
COFAC provides opportunities for students to take risks, assume responsibilities, test new ideas, and hone their respective crafts; they gain technical skills and confidence that will carry over into their professional lives. Consider partnering with us as we train the next generation of professional creators and creative professionals.
